Magnolia 03:04
Moonbeam Have you seen my Georgetown bloom? Hedges croon to lemon schemes in June Creation blooms Magnolia's in mourning Meanwhile she's talking It's true Bells and turpentine startled me Mountie Carlisle turned an eye again Easy Buckle down to ruby rigid red And she said, “Magnolia's in mourning. Meanwhile she’s talking. It’s true”

Mississippi 01:07
Mississippi is a river That I'm hoping not to get Sold down to Oh not again Inundated by the quiet A wonder keeps her humming How I'm talking to you Radiator is a buoy Getting gooey at the bottom The Clipboard is too She’s waiting for you

Ascania 02:30
Ascania is on the pavement With a broken hull Looks just like a leader talking To the foreman who'll do me in Well I'll be My banister is rained and rocky Like restaurants I’d rather flower tending Loving someone makes a fool of me Well I’ll be I won’t forget the taste of copper coins I think I may be learning This ragdoll’s prone to taking Idle hands and broken towers lean on me And I don’t wanna feel that way again And I don’t wanna feel that way again You’ll see That’s what claims to be Well I’ll be I won’t forget the taste of copper coins

Indiana 04:21
Gary and me don’t like ascension The straightaway design elicits clarion to my destination Menagerie One fine day in Indiana A land of rubber signs Where my best uniform must have a way You'll have a roadway from A to B if you really learn to like me too Maynard Keynes’ sugar libertines gallop to the sea And the salty breeze keeps them opaque Menagerie One fine day in Indiana, a land of rubber signs where my best uniform got me away Over a roadway from A to B to menagerie, in Maine Look at all the beauty that came to me. Destiny comforts me.

Treasureme 03:24
Treasureme, before I up and leave Treasureme, before I up and leave A company party always set on casing the spot when I’d rather be spoken to... Or maybe reunion, Cuz nothing really feels the way you do... I think that you’re pleasant company in a strange way, I can But I won’t shed a tear if you don’t know my name So I won’t shed a tear in case you do Gingerly Treasure me before I up and leave Treasureme before I up and leave A company party and a grown man facing the sunshine Who’s mercy and hidden danger or maybe reunion Cuz nothing really feels the way you do I think that you’re pleasant company in a strange way, I can But I won’t shed a tear if you don’t know my name So I won’t shed a tear in case you do Gingerly

Help Me Myra 02:57
I keep hold of my possessions. Count the blessings if you can. Birds and airplanes over boulevards Help me Myra if you can Milk and Ovaltine ambitions Might just hyphenate my name Social currency won't abide by spring Nor the airplanes over boulevards Help me Myra if you can Cuz I'm bored out my mind and my heart's gone moot. And I don't think that you look like him I keep hold of my possessions, reservations, and malaise. Facing no one as I always do Turned around and learned my name Help me Myra if you can Cuz I’m bored out my mind and my heart’s gone moot And I don’t think that you look like him I’ll believe that Jesus believes in me to yourself and your own repatriation. He’s a martyr far too warm to lose

Blue Delilah 04:20
Have you ever seen miracles? You can't have my blue Delilah 'cause she's my reason to be Taking her time on the Caspian Sea to Fayetteville State, North Carolina How many boats does it take to be free? Taking my time measurably In Oklahoma Eighteen wheelin' There I told her "Lest safety pins you, I love you. You could be something good. You could be something good." And you can't have my blue Delilah You can't have my blue Delilah For me. I just can't be weighed down two-by-two I just can't be weighed down two-by-two In Oklahoma Eighteen wheelin' I told her, I told her "Lest safety pins you, I love you. You could be something good." Have you ever seen miracles of but a hundred to me? Have you ever seen miracles of but a hundred to me?

Old Friend 03:02
Old friend you're making a scene At least I'm clean Old friend you're making a scene At least I’m clean. Old friend Old friend I know that somewhere rain falls I know that somewhere rain falls Old friend you’re making a scene, in Albany Old friend you’re making a scene, in Albany Old friend Old friend I know that somewhere rain falls I know that somewhere rain falls I know that somewhere rain falls I know that somewhere rain falls

Tuesday's gone to Pennsylvania Wednesday is a camel through a needle's thread “Rest my head in Kentucky,” she said Thursday was the day I re-applied Johnny goes to fields unknown With his blank companion And says to creation amends to the sea Readjustment Readjustment And nothing new to do I come for reasons like a descent Builds swales for the wickedness Wash it away turn it away And nothing new to do... You belong to Pennsylvania Wednesday is a camel through a needle's thread “Rest my head in Kentucky,” she said Thursday was the day I re-applied Johnny goes to fields unknown With his blank companion And says to creation Amends to the sea Bucolic just for me I'm John E. Appleseed Bucolic just for me I'm John E. Appleseed! Don't you know? They're only finding tangerines Don't you know they're only finding tangerines? Bucolic just for me I’m John E. Appleseed.

Hinterlands 06:36
Holidays at sea Are no more than you wanted me to be Under the fountain Kids in the alley see timber into grain A left at Iceland, a right turn sombered Spain Whereby fountains of youth file in with proof of compensation Hinterlands Hinterlands Her audacity then maligned her to more than she could be Under the fountain We burn a candle for sake of scenery. I got a bow from the present company Salt and loam and the time, tracking the sea Wondering if she feels the same way ‘bout old me Hinterlands Hinterlands Hinterlands There are so many things to do around the fountain The binds that I can see: the binds that comfort me There are so many things to do around the fountain The binds that I can see: the binds that comfort me There are so many things to do around the fountain The binds that I can see: the binds that comfort me

about

"Pioneers" (2019) is the debut album from His Pioneers. At its inception this was a sunshine pop album, but after increased scrutiny songwriter Josh Gachette found that angle too saccharine and escapist for its lyrical content. Thus, "Pioneers" makes overtures to country & western in its attempt to draw parallels between urban renewal and Western settlement, whereby realtors and urban boosters collaborate to monocrop a novel frontier for each subsequent generation of urban pioneers to enjoy.
